Roofing Sell Sheet

Whoever needs a new roof, needs a new refreshed sell sheet. Therefore, the purpose of my design was to communicate elegance and reliability based on the service this company prides itself with. All this in hopes of attracting high budget clients in need for new roof installation made of premium quality products.

The Concept

Less is more for this sell sheet. I kept with classic styles, neutral colours, paired with bold geometric typefaces to contribute to the overall clean look. The colours complimented the stock imagery and the geometric typefaces reflected the perfectionism of the company’s roofing installations.

Experimentation

Lots of no no's done here. Why would I ever think of doing slant aligned text? I guess everyone starts somewhere right. I saw my professor's horrified face when I pitched this. It was enough to know what I had done. Fortunately, my hands are always full of variety. Experimentation is an integral part and it produced more than enough to offer stronger designs.

Final Print

A modern design, easy on the eyes, plenty of white space and simple shapes leaning peacefully on each other. I had to marry myself to the grid for these results and it certainly paid off. Experimenting almost steered me away from the goal, but a student with good principles knows when to take the good advice. The final design features the classic left alignment for every text, adhering to a 6 by 8 grid. The triangle shapes intersecting harmoniously was to reflect the excellent craftsmanship required for roofing. Topped off with tints and shades of two core colors for visual interest, giving a classic layout, a dynamic look.

It's time to connect.
